Rules and Information for Race Day
Each reserved parking space is allowed 2 fifths of hard liquor (750 ml each), 3 bottles of wine, & 3 six-packs of beer/seltzer/ RTD’s. No one will be allowed to bring alcohol to track from the GA Parking area. Avoid glass whenever possible.
15 people per reserved parking space.
Races run rain or shine. No refunds will be made.
Thunder and lightning may postpone a race, however the race will continue once the storm has passed as long as the footing is safe for the horses.
TUNE to 103.9 for race updates.
No drones.
Remember your extra trash bags! A trash bag has been placed in each reserved parking space. Trash barrels and dumpsters are supplied for you to dispose of your trash. Please help us in preserving the property.
Food vendors are available in the Orange Park area (at the Spring Races) and in the Green Infield area (at the Fall Races). Those parking in General Admission can bring in food, but are subject to search.
Weapons are prohibited.
No re-entry from General Admission parking lot.
No tailgating in General Admission Parking lot.
For your safety and the safety of the horses the racecourse is off limits to the public except at designated crossings at designated times.
No Dogs or Pets of any kind are allowed on the grounds, except for sanctioned activities. Vehicles containing dogs or pets will be turned away at the gate with no refund given.
We allow 10 x 10 pop up tents. These tents should be erected at least 4 ft off the rail. Please be mindful of your neighbor(s) and avoid space overcrowding.
You may leave your car overnight. All cars must be picked up before 5pm the day after the races.

Failure to honor race day policies may result in expulsion from grounds, loss of reserved space(s), and prosecution where applicable. Areas will be patrolled for compliance in the interest of safety and adherence to the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
As a guest on Foxfield property, we require you to obey all laws, directions, and policies, which will be enforced by Law Enforcement and Foxfield Security.

Orange Park
Orange Park welcomes all attendees to view the races and purchase food and drink from local vendors. With rail viewing and rentable cabana shade tents, Orange Park is the perfect place for students to gather and safely watch the races.
Anyone with a general admission ticket can come into Orange Park. Attendees in the Orange ‘student section’ (reserved & infield parking) will be allowed to leave and reenter, but not be able to bring food or drinks in or out of the section. Those ages 21 and over can purchase beer, seltzers, and more in the Orange Park.
CABANA TENTS : Contact the race office to reserve your cabana tent in the Orange Park. While supplies last.

NOTE:
All General Admission parking passes must be physically displayed on their car’s dashboard for entry on the Foxfield property. This is for security and traffic operations. Please let your guests know that if they are receiving one of these parking passes types it must be printed and displayed before entering the property.

We no longer sell tickets in retail outlets as all tickets are electronic tickets. Tickets are delivered directly to your email address.
Reserved spots are held for Foxfield’s Founders Circle members only. If you are interested in becoming a Founders Circle member and purchasing the same spot you held last race, please contact the Foxfield Race Office, (800) 478-3416 or information@foxfieldraces.com. The race office staff will be able to discuss all arrangements for the parking space with you.

The Green section is home to general admission and tends to have families with children and establish groups. During the fall race, there is the Children’s Tent with activities to younger attendees.
The New Orange Entertainment Park (open only during the Spring Race) welcomes all general admission attendees from students from colleges and universities in and near Central Virginia to professionals from Central Virginia.
The Blue section is on the outside rail and is a very relaxing area to view the races. It is also a very easy area for Handicapped Accessible requests.
The Pink section hosts Sponsors and general admission. During the races, you can catch the start and finish from this section.
The Purple section hosts Sponsors.
You can purchase additional tickets and additional general admission parking all the way up to race day. All tickets are electronic and delivered via email to your email inbox.
Reserved parking spaces in our color-coded sections are on sale through our website up to 2 weeks before race day or while supplies last, whichever comes first.
If you lose your ticket, please contact Customer Service at (800) 478-3416 or ticketing@foxfieldraces.com in advance of race day. Foxfield will address lost tickets on a case by case basis.

If you did not receive your reserved parking space hangtag in the mail, please contact Customer Service at (800) 478-3416 or ticketing@foxfieldraces.com in advance of race day. Foxfield will address mis-shipped hang tags on a case by case basis and will be happy to assist you in finding a solution prior to race day. If you do not contact Foxfield prior to race day, anyone who comes to the gate without their parking pass or tickets will be turned away.
Children 12 and under are free of charge. Children do not need a ticket.
No, we love dogs, but not at the races.
Registered service dogs are accepted. Please contact the office to make arrangements.
No interaction or touching of the horses is allowed. Thoroughbred racehorses are best observed from a distance.
You’ll see everything from Sunday Best to Country Casual for both men and women at the Foxfield Races. Women lean towards dresses, while men are usually in a shirt and tie, often paired with khaki shorts. Hats are a big favorite at the races! The most important thing to remember is to wear appropriate shoes or boots, as you will be in a field the whole day.






Due to the safety of horses and riders, personal pop-up tents with four corner stakes may be used in your parking spot. Your tent must be adequately secured in the ground and behind the line drawn in your space.

During the Fall Races, there are local food and drink trucks ring in the Green Section.
During the Spring races, there are vending stands and food trucks also in the New Orange Entertainment Park. Reminder that no outside food can be brought into the New Orange.

Boxwoods Tent

The Boxwoods are a premier and exclusive viewing area between the Pink and Purple Section. As it was the site of the property’s former home, the space has iconic boxwoods protecting the backside of the enclosure from Garth Road, while overlooking the race track. The Boxwoods create a welcoming and protected enclosure with easy access for guests. This package includes equipment to accommodate up to 50 guests in a 30’ x 20’ tent. Catering, linens, and décor are arranged by the purchaser of the Boxwoods and are not included in this reservation.
